A style deferred

THIS IS ME... I am just a free spirited girl who has always loved fashion...I guess...but didn't get “the industry” until the end of my sophomore year in college while majoring in Nursing and taking a Intro to Fashion course. That course was the light bulb that went went off... and I have been chasing the fashion dream every since. Who am I…let’s just call me Ana Laureign, (aw’ nah) a designer at heart but a full-time teacher by day.  I have earned a bachelors and masters degree in fashion and have 20 + years in retail visual merchandising and freelance styling experience, yet still paving the way and finding my niche. I live to introduce the obscure world of fashion to young people longing to know more.  I breathe all things fashion and with my education and leisure research of the industry, I am a walking Fashionapedia…BUT my wardrobe is BORING! After 8 years of teaching and being a mom, my wardrobe began to change and I woke up one morning like whose closet is this! Everything is basic..and work ready (teacher work that is) and though it is still a bit over the top for your every day teacher, it’s all pretty drab to me.  So here I am on my mission to revamp and get that old style thing back... one sewing machine stitch and fashion sketch at a time. And a few store brought pieces along the way. Hey! I am a girl and we love to shop!!
